Keith Hinkle and Myra Collier, both of Athens, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Nicole Hinkle of Athens to Loren Heath Norwood of Athens, son of Diane McMahan of Athens, and the late Larry Norwood.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Faye Baker, Gail Hinkle, both of Athens, Jerry Hinkle of Gadsden, and the late Eugene Chittam.

She is a 2005 graduate of Athens Bible School and a 2009 graduate of Calhoun Community College, where she received an associate’s degree in nursing.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ida Mae and Philip Jennings, and Rena Norwood, all of Athens.

He is a 2002 graduate of East Limestone High School. He is employed by The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department as a corrections officer.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 24, 2009, at Coxey Church of Christ in Athens.
