The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Hugo and Barbara Gey of Ardmore, and the late Laura Evelyn Shaw. She is a 2006 graduate of Ardmore High School and a 2008 graduate of Calhoun Community College where she received an associate degree in nursing. She is employed by Huntsville Hospital as a registered nurse. The prospective groom is the grandson of Hural and June Daphney Jones of Toney, Billy Deffenbaugh of Hartselle, and the late Oris Grisham Deffenbaugh. He is the great-grandson of Naola Bailey of Athens. He is a 2006 graduate of Ardmore High School and a 2009 graduate of Calhoun Community College where he received an associate degree in machine tool technology, machinist and machine too technology, and CNC. He is employed by Turner Medical as a machinist. The wedding is planned for Sept. 26, 2009, at Sardis Springs Baptist Church.
