Engagement: Owen-Morris

Jimmy and Ada Owen of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Hannah Susan Owen of Montgomery, to Clayton David Morris of Opelika, son of David and Mikki Morris of Notasulga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Peggy Ann Scalf of Atlanta and the late Frank Scalf and Jim and Frances Owen. 

She is a 2008 graduate of Athens Bible School and is currently attending Auburn University Montgomery where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She plans to graduate in December.

She is employed by Baptist Medical Center South as a nurse extern.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mildred Morris of Notasulga and the late Margaret Williams and Carlyle Morris.

He is a 2003 graduate of Reeltown High School and a 2009 graduate of Auburn University where he received a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

He is employed by Tallapoosa River Electric as a IT manager.

The wedding is planned for June 30 at Joe Wheeler State Park Lodge in Rogersville.
