Fun that's Homespun

The “Homespun” Arts & Crafts Show and Plant Sale will be held May 2 and May 3 in Athens. The annual fundraiser for Athens Bible School will be held from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school.
The show will feature several vendors, including Homewood Musical Instrument Co. of Birmingham, Southern Highland Craft Guild and Tedrow Concertina Photo Gallery.
The event will showcase vendors who will have items for sale, such as purses, stone animals, oil paintings, watercolor paintings, drawings, wooden toys, gift bags, folk art brooms, monogramming, handpainted china, baby items, plant seeds, Christmas decor, chests, musical instruments, baskets, hair bows, books and more.
ABS will hold a bake sale. Vendors will have food for sale, such as sourdough bread, jams and jellies. Southern Shaved ice, Nanny’s Lemonade, Suzanne’s Bakery and Totrtillas Blanco will also have booths.
The ABS “Homespun ‘Very Berry’ Recipe Book” will also be available at the event. The cookbook is a collection of recipes containing fruits and berries submitted by ABS families.
