Athens State University announces the season highlights for this year’s J. Harrison and Robbie Nelle Christopher Livingston Concert Lecture Series.

For the 2008-2009 academic year, some of the speakers and events that are currently planned are:

Dinner Concert with

Pianist Jason Guy

Renowned pianist, Jason Guy, will entertain during a dinner performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 in the Sandridge Center Ballroom. Guy’s repertoire includes standards, jazz melodies, and light favorites. The event cost is $25 and reservations may be made by calling (256) 216-3319.

Community Band

Christmas Concert

The annual Christmas Concert under the direction of Dan Havely is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 in McCandless Hall. The Community Band was founded in 2003 and is supported by Athens State University. Cost for the concert is $5 per person.
