Turkey Talk: Kids share Thanksgiving turkey recipes

— There’s nothing quite like the vivid imagination of a child.

In honor of Thanksgiving The News Courier thought it would be interesting to share area students perspectives on the art of preparing the main dish — turkey.

Students in Quita Burk’s pre-kindergarten class at Little Blessings Child Development Center shared the following recipes: 

Layla Pride

Ingredients

Rocks, salad, chicken, snow, salt, grapes, popcorn and chips.

Directions

Put it in the oven for three minutes at 530 degrees. Cook it and eat it.

Kaylen Hicks

Ingredients

Ketchup, hot sauce, beef stew, chicken, corn bread, biscuits, juice, oranges.

Directions

Put turkey in it, put fries in it and put it in a pan. Put it in the oven for two, three or four days at 2,345 degrees. Cook it and eat it.

Chloe Malone

Ingredients

Beans, salt, pepper, milk, butter, oil, hot sauce and chicken.

Directions

Put in the oven for eight hours at 48 degrees. Grill and eat it.

JoeQuez Keith

Ingredients

Pepper, salt, macaroni and cheese, chicken, hot chicken, hamburger, chicken nuggets and biscuits.

Directions

Put it in the pot. Put it in the stove for about seven years at 100 degrees. Eat it.

Elyjah Jones

Ingredients

Great Northern beans, mayonnaise, bananas, hot sauce, oranges, chicken, water, milk.

Directions

Put it in the stove. Put milk inside of it and add chicken. Cook it for too long at 489 degrees. When its done cooking, eat it.

Olivia Osborne

Ingredients

Water, watermelon, corn, milk, green beans, ramen noodles, gummy bears, colors.

Directions

Put gummy bears and strawberry shortcake on it. Put it in the oven for eight minutes at 8 degrees. Cook it and eat it.

Caylee Howell

Ingredients

Milk, sugar, hot sauce, bananas, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and ketchup.

Directions

Put greens in it. Pour the milk on it and put syrup on it. Put it in the oven for seven minutes at 120 degrees. Eat it.
