ATV riders need park
Dear Editor:
We the people of Limestone County who ride ATVs want to know when they are going to give us the opportunity to have fun. They have horse trails and bike trails and they are even trying to get a skate park. I think it would be fair to give us a chance, too. Most of us who ride ATVs have to travel either to West Point, Tenn., or Cullman just to have fun.
We went to West Point this past weekend, and I know I counted at least 30 trucks from Alabama there. It costs about $60 a year to ride there for a family. The ones who ride ATVs would like them to give us a fair chance. We would like to see the fish hatchery open again. All they would have to do is charge people to get in and sign a waiver.
Thanks from us ATV and dirt bike riders.
Sincerely,
Johnny Ussery
Thanks to Butler for protecting Tanner
Dear Editor:
I live in the Tanner community where I love many people. We should have incorporated many years ago but didn’t. We certainly have all the things it takes to make a nice city. A nearby college, our very own nuclear power plant, a wild life management area, the richest soil in the United States, many lovely homes as well as a community motor home area where more than 500 people alone live.
