Dear Editor: What a blessing everyone missed who did not attend the Barker Decoration Day on Saturday, July 19 to honor our loved ones buried there. Graves were decorated and the cemetery was cleaned, although not much work was needed thanks to Phillip and Jeremiah Barker, who work hard keeping this little cemetery looking beautiful. Therefore, we all had time to visit and talk about our wonderful families and friends who are deceased and are buried there. Also, thanks to everyone who donated funds to continue the upkeep of the cemetery. All donations were appreciated and we are still accepting donations if anyone wishes to donate. Hope each and every one comes back next year and also the ones who were unable to attend will also be there. Thanks again for the wonderful support. Sincerely, Helen S.
