Shelter appreciates help
There are no words to adequately express how much, we, at Athens Limestone Emergency Food and Shelter (ALFS) appreciate the tremendous support we continue to receive from our Limestone County friends and neighbors. Thanks to each and every one of you, this year’s Postal Workers Food Drive was a HUGE success. Your generosity makes it possible for us to continue to serve those in need in our community.
We are especially grateful to our city and county mail carriers for taking their time to pick up this food. If it were not for your help, we would not be able to provide this much needed food. We appreciate your continued support. As our client base continues to grow (we have already assisted over 1,000 families this year) your thoughtfulness and support is deeply appreciated.
We also want to thank Walmart for their support. Our local store makes it possible to give our clients frozen foods, eggs and other foods that were otherwise unavailable to us.
Again this year, Dollar General has helped us with their food drive. We are so fortunate to have all this support and caring from our local businesses. We are very appreciative for every one of you.
I also want to thank our volunteers. You are the lifeblood of this organization. Without you, we could not exist.
Lastly, I thank our clients. Without you, all this would be meaningless. We are grateful to be able to serve you.
