Best-ever Kiddie Carnival

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the Athens Lions Club, I would like to say a big “thank you” for making this past Kiddie Carnival season one of the best ever. A special thanks to our many volunteers, especially the Leo Club, Sub Deb Sorority, Pi Beta Sigma Sorority, Clements High School cheerleaders, employees of CDPA PC, Coleman Dental, Athena League, Friendship Boy Scout Troup 24, East Limestone cheerleaders, Bethel Church of Christ, Athens Police Department, the news media, and numerous individuals. To the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., who brought the children out each night, we salute you for helping continue a family tradition in our community. To all the club members who worked tirelessly each night, you are commended for a job well done. Begin making plans now for the 2014 Kiddie Carnival.

Henry White

Athens Lions Club publicity chairman
