God’s definition of a liberal
Re: “In God We Trust” by Mr. Jack Morgan — Your first error is to mix the dictionary, political and biblical definitions of liberal. They are all grossly different definitions. The dictionary combines all the meanings which is not God’s definition.
The political definition of liberal: pro-choice, pro-gay, anti-freedoms, anti-second amendment, big government, high taxes, etc. — the Democrats’ definition.
The biblical definition of liberal is a generous spirit of helping the needy. Here are a few examples ... Deuteronomy 15:11 – poor, Luke 10:30-35 - afflicted, James 2:14-16 - makes our faith real, 2 Corinthians 8:9 - following Christ’s example, 2 Corinthians 9:12 - relieve distress, Isaiah 58: 10-11 – deliverance in time of need, 2 Corinthians 9:2 – provokes others to give. Last time I looked, the Democrats were not giving anything, but rather taking everything from hardworking citizens to accomplish their (Dems) agenda at socialism.
Please show me where the Bible says God is pro-choice, pro-gay, etc. It’s wrong to call God a liberal in the political context you are using.
A couple of the meanings of liberal in the dictionary are “broad-minded” and “morally unrestrained.” God tells us “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14). The Bible also tells us that “A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left” (Ecclesiastes 10:2).
Read Isaiah 32:5-8 for what God says about liberals.
