County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Billy Stepherson Burrough Jr., 33, of 29259 Pettusville Road, Elkmont, DUI, speeding and no insurance

• George Glaudis Lane, 57, of 212 Lona John Road, Cordova, third-degree assault

• Craig Levain Smith, 44, of 20645 Carey Road, Athens, DUI and improper lane use

• Byron Rush Hyatt, 37, of 3955 East Upper River Road, Somerville, DUI, resisting arrest, illegal possession of prohibited liquor and disorderly conduct

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• A 2004 Mustang of undetermined value was taken Monday from the 18000 block of East Limestone Road.

• A piggy bank containing $20 in change was taken between Wednesday and Saturday from the 29000 block of Mooresville Road.

• A metal, two-man tree stand; three ladder stands and three climbing stands valued at $939 were taken sometime after Feb. 1 from the 29000 block of Coggins Road.

• A gold pocket watch valued at $500 was taken between Feb. 1 and Sunday from the 12000 block of Mayfield Road.

• An honorary belt buckle and two VHS tapes valued at $170 were taken Sunday from the 22000 block of Smith Road. A 16-year-old was arrested and charged with burglary in the case.
