Three students from Reid Elementary School just got a taste of how state government works.
Skylar Brady, Ashton Crumbley and Latrece Leonard recently served as pages in the Alabama House of Representatives, working side by side with former Reid principal and current Rep. Henry White, D-Athens.
The students described the moments as unforgettable.
“I had a great time being a page, touring the House and observing two sessions in the House,” said Skylar, a fifth grader. “I would love to go back next year.”
Ashton, a sixth grader, said, “I loved being a page, especially learning how the House of Representatives works and how a bill is passed. “I had lots of fun.”
Latrece, a sixth grader, said, “I loved being a page and being able to work side by side with Mr. White. I felt it was a fun learning experience and it would help me become better educated.”
