The cellmate suffered a broken ankle, Denny said.
Denny said Fusco was in jail charged with robbery, two counts of kidnapping and one count of attempted murder for a 2007 home invasion. He said Fusco shot a female resident, who suffered “extremely serious” wounds, but survived. Denny said Tennessee lawmen do not know where Fusco was between the time of 4 a.m. Friday and when he was stopped Monday night. “We knew he was headed into Alabama or Florida because he’s got family there,” said Denny. “But we didn’t know where he was until he was stopped in Alabama.”
