County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Wednesday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:

• David Lee Brown, 28, of 20854 Todd Circle, Athens, probation revocation.

• Marcus Maurice Elliott, 35, of Decatur, probation revocation.

• Michael Neal Head, 38, of 16454 Jones Road, Athens, two counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.

• Jessica Renee Mayers, 19, of Guntersville, possession of a controlled substance.

• Corey Lavar Peoples, 25, of 20430 Winford St., Tanner, first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

• Christopher Fitzgerald Townsend, 38, of 9809 Settle Road, Tanner, obstructing governmental operations, harassment and criminal trespassing.

• Ricky Thomas Wheeler, 44, of Red Boiling Spring, Tenn., driving under the influence.

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Wednesday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:

• Congress Yukon Sledge, 47, of 1015 Highland St., Athens, DUI.
