Volunteer fire departments from Ardmore, Oak Grove and Elkmont battled what is being called a suspicious fire around 3 p.m. Friday at 29825 Ardmore Ave., in Ardmore.

“The home will probably end up being a total loss but we were able to contain the fire in about 15 minutes to about 30 percent of the structure,” said Tim Toone, fire chief for the Ardmore Volunteer Fire Department. He said the fire is suspicious in nature and the state fire marshal’s office will investigate.

Toone said there were no injuries and no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
