BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — An estimated two-hundred and fifty-thousand dollars were added to the campaign coffers of presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Barak Obama.
His wife, Michelle Obama visited the Birmingham suburb of Mountain Brook Monday afternoon to attend a fundraiser. Around 250 donors each paid $1,000 to attend the event.
The fundraiser was held at the home of Birmingham attorney Giles Perkins, a former executive director of the Alabama Democratic Party.
The donations went to the Obama Victory Fund.
