— County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:
• Vickey Kay Bowles, 45, of Clarksville, Tenn., negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.
• Stephanie Jewel Franklin, 27, of Florence, unauthorized use of a vehicle.
• Charles David Hardy, 40, of Huntsville, second-degree robbery.
• Steven Letroy McCurley, 26, of 1611 Sanderer Road, Athens, probation violation.
• Gerry Wayne Ray, 48, of Hartselle, driving under the influence and driving while license revoked.
• Marcus Lavon Tisdale, 45, of 2093 Swancot Road, Madison, failure to pay child support.

County thefts
• A Playstation and games valued at $1,000 were stolen July 5-6 from the 16000 block of Buckskin Drive.
• Four tire rims and door to a 1972 Monte Carlo Chevrolet valued at $650 were stolen July 7 from Barksdale and Meadows roads.
• A lawnmower, hope chest and safe, valued at $1,800, were stolen Monday from the 19000 block of Elkton Road.
• Two bulldogs valued at $1,500 were stolen Monday from the 21000 block of Nelson Lane.
• A Yamaha 350 four-wheeler valued at $3,400 was stolen Monday from the 11000 block of Snake Road.

City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:
• Phillip Oneil Ivey, 27, of 12043 Vanzille Lane, Athens, two counts of probation revocation.
• Mickey Ray Sutton, 67, of 1402 N. Jefferson St., Athens, DUI.
• Sebrina Ann Thompson, 30, of 708 Westmoreland St., Athens, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication.

Man charged with stealing copper
John William Franklin, Jr., 34, of 26140 Children Lane, Elkmont, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree theft of property. Athens Police Capt. Marty Bruce said Franklin is accused of stealing 80 feet of copper from the Athens Utilities substation off Durham Drive. Franklin was transferred to the Limestone County Jail.

City thefts
• Five manhole covers for a storm sewer, valued at $500, were stolen Sunday from The Ridges Subdi vision now under construction on Oakdale Road.

Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported two admissions and no discharges Tuesday.
Admitted were Thomas Bloodworth and Grady Smith, both of Athens.
Admissions and discharges represent only those people who agreed to have their names published.
