The Limestone County Sheriffs Department reported the following arrests Monday:
Virginia Elaine Brown, 47, of 5758 Bay Pointe Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance
Larry Joe Gabhart, 23, of 29458 Lakeview Drive, Ardmore, first-degree possession of marijuana
Nicole Lee Hamilton, 35, of 12827 Wakea Drive, Madison, first-degree theft
Gregory Shane Johnson, 25, of 2716 County Road 209, Danville, driving under the influence, reckless driving and improper lane use
Stefan Fredrick Martin, 26, of 2816 Union Drive, Huntsville, first-degree assault
Jose David Mujica, 28, of 2026 Danville Drive S.W., Lot 15, Decatur, DUI and no insurance
Paul Douglas Sanders, 50, of 18414 Alabama 99, Lot 53, Athens, second-degree domestic violence (assault)

County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriffs Department reported the following thefts Monday:
1995 Buick Century, valued at $2,500, was stolen Thursday or Friday from the 25000 block of Bethel Road, and then found abandoned on the roadside of Alabama 251.
$125 in coins stolen between April 30 and Friday from the 21000 block of Alabama 251.
$3,370 in paint ball equipment and supplies, including one Eclipse paint ball gun; one Angel A-1 paint ball gun; tanks and hoppers for guns, and a case of paint balls, stolen Thursday or Friday from the 24000 block of U.S. 72 East.
Two car batteries valued at $100 stolen between Wednesday and Friday from 19000 block of George Washington St. in Tanner.
$140 in coins stolen between Sept. 9 and Friday from the 27000 block of Copeland Road.
High Point 9mm handgun, valued at $100, stolen Wednesday or Thursday from the 17000 block of Matthew Way.
16-foot metal ladder stand, valued at $75, stolen between July and Sept. 12 from an unnamed location on Hardy Road.

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:
Laura Lynn Bradford, 20, of 19620 Airfield St., Lot 69, theft of property
Elaine B. McCormick, 47, of 5758 Bay Pointe Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance
Jose Rodriquez, 21, of 2345 N. Jefferson St., Athens, public intoxication
Mateo Vincente, 30, address unknown, Athens, driving under the influence
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:
Twenty-five Compass Bank checks from a closed account, one combination DVD/VCR player, one item of clothing, four kitchen chairs, one microwave oven, one 32-inch Zenith brand television, one dryer and two washing machines, total value $1,100, stolen between Aug. 28 and Wednesday from A-1 Elm Street Storage at 105 Elm St.
$465 was stolen through identity theft between Nov. 28, 2007, and March 14, 2008, from 208 Campbell Drive, Apt. A.
Thirty pills, one food item, five videocassette tapes, 20 digital video discs and a Phillips brand DVD player, total value $225, stolen between Sept. 8 and Friday from 907 N. Houston St.
Pistol permit and $150 Smith & Wesson .38-caliber pistol stolen Friday or Saturday from 1817 S. Hine St.
$75 Craftsman brand lawn mower stolen Thursday or Friday from 401 N. Malone St.,
Nine items of clothing and furs, 20 miscellaneous items and seven items of food, total value $70, were shoplifted Friday from 1011 U.S. 72 East.
Four bags of aluminum cans valued at $50 were stolen Friday from 2115 Stanford Drive.
Handle bars from a Next brand bicycle stolen Saturday from 222 Windscape Drive, Apt. 63.
Wrecks
Garry Wayne Benham, 52, of Athens and Caitlyn Breanne Pugh, 19, of Athens were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:36 p.m. Friday on Elm Street, between Jefferson and Houston streets in Athens, according to Athens Police. Benham was not listed as a patient at Athens-Limestone Hospital; Pugh was treated there and released, a spokeswoman said.
Levi Tyler, 16, of Elkmont was injured in one-vehicle accident at 8:08 p.m. Sunday on Holt Road, five miles north of Athens. He was wearing a seat belt, the trooper said. He was treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released.
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported two admissions and seven discharges Monday.
Admitted were: Mary Bass of Athens and Glenda Daly of Elkmont.
Discharged were: Teresa Tompkin, Katherine Stoffregen, Charles Baker and Mary Bass, all of Athens; Luther Beddingfield and Glenda Daly, both of Elkmont; and David Dollins of Lester.
Admissions and discharges represent only those people who agreed to have their names published.
