The Department of Religious Studies at Athens State University will host a lunchtime discussion Monday in the chapel on the second floor of Founders Hall.
Noted theologian Calvin Miller will speak to students, faculty, staff and the community at noon. His topic will integrate Celtic traditional spirituality with a focus on “The Grateful Heart.”
Miller, an Oklahoma native, is the author of more than 40 books of popular theology and inspiration. His poems and freelance articles have appeared in various journals and magazines such as Christianity Today, Campus Life, Leadership, and His.
He has served as an inspirational speaker in various assemblies and religious convocations, both in his own denomination and other gatherings.
The event is free and open to the public.
