County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:
• Gary Dewayne Fagan, 54, of 9672 County Road 214, Trinity, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse (sentenced from court)
• Tommy Joe Faulk, 30, of 27355 Lambert Road, Elkmont, driving while revoked
• Laura Lynn Hamilton, 26, of 24394 Frank Gossett Road, Athens, surety rescinds bond on two counts of second-degree forgery
• Jared Michael Hill, 19, of 404 Camelot Drive, Athens, three counts of third-degree burglary (grand jury indictment)
• Miguel Lopes-Ortiz, 19, of 111 Sockwell, Apt. 3, Russellville, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and giving false name to law-enforcement officer
• William Lester McGowan Jr., 29, of 188 Teresa Drive, Madison, probation violation (Jackson County Sheriff’s Department)
• Timothy Scott Royster, 31, of 17401 Morris Road, Lot B, Elkmont, failure to pay child support
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Tuesday:
• Two pallets of office supplies and cleaning supplies from Staples, two pallets of CVS goods and two pallets of Rite Aid supplies, total value $8,900, stolen during a burglary from a closeout buyer in the 30000 block of Alabama 53 between Nov. 24 and Monday
• 1997 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle and a heater, total value $1,450, stolen Nov. 26 from the 23000 block of Nick Davis Road
• Toshiba brand laptop computer valued at $1,200 stolen during burglary in the 29000 block of Black Road between Nov. 25 and Monday
• Nokia brand cellular telephone and a child-restraint seat, total value $110, stolen between Nov. 30 and Monday from the 19000 block of Holt Road
• Newport brand cigarettes, coins and a Mossberg brand shotgun, all of undetermined value, stolen during a burglary Monday or Tuesday from Harbin Grocery in the 15000 block of Browns Ferry Road

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday:
• Mitchell Earl Gilbert, 44, of 1801 Levert Circle, Athens, possession of drug paraphernalia
• Eva Eugenia Malone, 47, 17419 Holland Heights, Athens, DUI
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday and Tuesday:
• 1983 Ford F-100 truck, 351 Windsor motor and transmission, total value $2,600, stolen between Nov. 24 and Friday from Green Street.
• Schwinn brand mountain bicycle; two metal chairs; one metal table; copper wire; and air-conditioner fan, motor and compressor, total value $1,560, were stolen Saturday from Titan Propane on U.S. 31 South.
• Tailgate of Ford F-250 valued at $1,000 was stolen Friday from 1104 U.S. 72 East
• Two Leapster brand electronic games, Cyber Pocket brand game, three game cartridges and three digital cameras, total value $429, stolen Nov. 26 from 1011 U.S. 72 East
• Coca-Cola vending machine valued at $400 was damaged Friday at Quality Inn on Thrasher Boulevard
• $300 cash and a $10 wallet were stolen Monday from 2220 Windscape Drive, Apt. 29
• Wallet, debit card, driver’s license, Social Security card and cash, total value $290, were stolen Monday during vehicle break-in at 901 W. Bryan St.
• $100 cash was stolen and damage was done to the glass door Friday at TNT Super Thrift Plus on Jefferson Street.
• One timber log valued at $100 stolen between Nov. 21 and Friday from 18606 Elles Drive
• One bottle of Woodbridge brand wine and a 24-ounce bag of Tastee brand frozen shrimp, total value $31, stolen Friday from 625 U.S. 72 West
• Camera, belt, three shirts and vehicle tag, total value $77, stolen Sunday from 17795 U.S. 72 West
• Chevrolet 1500 valued at $3,000 scratched Saturday at 208 Southwind Drive
Wrecks
• Driver Katrisha Marie Magoon, 34, and driver Deloise Wiggins, 57, both of Athens, were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday on U.S. 72 at Browns Ferry Road, according to Athens Police. Magoon was treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released.
• Driver Buford Adam Franklin, 88, and driver Candiss Rae Plyler, 25, both of Athens, were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Friday on Jefferson Street at Washington Street, according to Athens Police. Both Franklin and Plyler were treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released.
• Melissa Gayle Wayne Cowan, 36, of Athens was injured Monday in a one-vehicle accident at the exit of Subway’s parking lot on Jefferson Street, according to Athens Police. She was treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital and released.
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported no admissions and one discharge Tuesday.
Discharged was Lessie Howard of Athens.
