— Three adults and one juvenile are each facing 19 counts of criminal mischief for allegedly damaging or destroying mailboxes last weekend in northwest Limestone County, Sheriff Mike Blakely said.

On Aug. 24, Limestone County deputies were busy taking 19 reports of damaged or destroyed mailboxes in the areas of Leggtown and Salem-Minor Hill roads, the sheriff said.

Investigators obtained information about one suspect Monday and arrested David Boone McLemore, 18, of 10518 Craigs Chapel Road, Lester. After determining who allegedly accompanied McLemore when the vandalism occurred, investigators arrested Jordan Johnson, 19, of 25775 Cabbage Ridge Road, Billy Dakota Kimbrough, 18, of 21824 Nelson Road and a 16-year-old female, the sheriff said.

“Apparently, from what they all said, McLemore pushed down all the mailboxes but they drove him around and, apparently, encouraged him in it,” Blakely said.

The sheriff was uncertain of the value of the mailboxes.

McLemore remained in the Limestone County Jail, with bail set at $14,250, records show. There were no bail records yet for the others arrested.
