Faulk seeks Place 5 school board seat

— A lifelong Limestone County resident and retired Delphi employee qualified Monday as a Republican for Place 5 on the seven-member Limestone County Board of Education.

Larry Faulk, 67, lives in the Thatch community and spent 34 years at Delphi. He is also a volunteer with the Johnson Elementary School booster club.

“I have an interest in the school system, and my grandkids are in school,” he said.

Faulk, who is finalizing campaign literature and materials, has a simple philosophy when asked about serving on the school board.

“I pledge to do the job to the best of my ability and be fair and honest with everybody,” Faulk said.

Longtime Place 5 school board member James Shannon has qualified to run for District 1 county commissioner.
