BREAKING: Hatchet vandal apprehended

ATHENS — The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert Allen Muse, 22, of Falkville, at 2 p.m. today for allegedly vandalizing Hatchett Cemetery in the Beulah Land community in southern Limestone County.

Muse was arrested at his father’s residence in Falkville after returning from a haircut, according to Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely. Muse is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a Class C felony that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and might face additional charges.

Muse was allegedly photographed by a Sheriff’s Office surveillance camera around 8:30 p.m. last Friday at Hatchett Cemetery, which was vandalized for the third time Nov. 23.

The cemetery was also vandalized on Nov. 8 and Nov. 15.
