Fourth of July closings, garbage collection schedule

The following city, county, state and federal offices or services will close due to the Independence Day holiday:

• Courthouse — Closed July 4

• City, county and state offices — Closed July 4

• Limestone County Courthouse — Closed July 4 and, possibly, July 5

• Post office — Closed July 4

Garbage collection July 1-5

• Athens — Tuesday and Wednesday, regular pickup; Thursday, no pickup; Friday, picking up Thursday’s route; Saturday, picking up Friday’s route.

• Limestone County — no change
