Council to discuss state money for road, bridge projects

— Athens City Council members are scheduled to discuss possible state money for road and bridge projects and consider taking action on other items during their regular council meeting Monday.

A work session will be held at 4:30 p.m. followed by a 5:30 meeting, both at the Athens Police Department at 951 E. Hobbs St. Meetings are open to the public.

During the work session, Public Works Director James Rich will discuss possible projects from the second round of Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation Improvement Program fund.
