Tractor-trailer overturns on U.S. 31

— A tractor-trailer truck has overturned this morning at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Elm Street in Athens.

Scanner reports indicate the driver was not seriously injured and was out of the truck. However, the truck was carrying a load of grain or soybeans, which has spilled out onto U.S. 31.

Officers at the scene have called for the Athens Street Department to help in the cleanup.
