Chick-fil-A will host its annual Connect Race Series in Athens on Saturday, starting and ending on the downtown square.
There are three courses for the race, a 10K, a 5K and a 1-mile. The 10K and 5K will start at 8 a.m. The 1-mile will start at 9:15 a.m. The race is expected to end at 10 a.m.
The inside of The Square will be blocked, but there will be access to the outside of The Square on most streets.
The race will impact traffic around The Square and west of the downtown area. Main thoroughfares that will be impacted include Washington Street, Lucas Ferry Road, West Hobbs Street and Market Street. Neighborhood streets also will be effected.

Athens Police will direct traffic and will allow motorists to use the streets as they become clear of runners. However, motorists should expect delays between 8-10 a.m.
There also will be a Health Fair on The Square from 9-12.
