BREAKING: Tractor-trailer hits ALDOT road crew, shuts down I-65

— Interstate 65 north in Limestone County was shut down early this morning after a tractor-trailer crashed and ran into an ALDOT work site around 5 a.m.

Athens Police were called to the scene and rerouted traffic to U.S. 31.

WAFF-48 is reporting that three people were taken to Huntsville Hospital and one to a hospital in Decatur. All reportedly had serious injuries.

The crew was reportedly fixing pot holes near mile marker 344 when it was struck by the truck.
