Arrest reports for 2/5/13

County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Sunday and Monday:

• Marion Marlon Sims, 35, of 23273 South Road, Athens, negotiating with a worthless negotiable instrument

• Michael Chadwick White, 38, of 30663 U.S. 72 West, Madison, third-degree promoting prison contraband and first-degree possession of marijuana

• Brian Keith Bright, 45, of 26397 Children Street, Athens, DUI and driving while restricted

• Sakuita Yvonne Jones, 33, of 10939 Mayberry Road, Tanner, third-degree criminal trespass

• Jesse Dale Lewter, 27, of 1308 Montreat Drive, Athens, probation violation on a previous charge of third-degree theft

• Wendy Marie Norman, 31, of 209 Buffalo Creek, Toney, two counts of second-degree forgery

• Tony Thompson, 39, of 1616 Alabama Ave., Birmingham, possession of marijuana

• Kristie Marie Whitt, 32, of 21700 Nature Way, Athens, DUI, improper lane usage, driving without insurance, possession of a controlled substance

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following thefts Monday:

• ATHENS – Jewelry box with jewelry and a Sisho wireless router, total value $650, stolen between Jan. 27 and Feb. 2 in 23000 block of Cairo Hollow Road

• ELKMONT – Medication, no quantity or value listed, stolen Feb. 2 in 20000 block of Sandlin Road

• ELKMONT — GE washer and dryer, sewing machine, coffee table and hope chest, total value $1,400, stolen in a burglary between Jan. 13 and Feb. 2 in 19000 block of Upper Fort Hampton Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Kandice Marie Dement, 24, of 1410 East Elm St., Athens, third-degree theft of property

• Kara Jannine McAbee, 28, of 23065 Pepper Road, Athens, DUI and second-degree illegal possession of marijuana

• Gary Dewayne Jones, 29, of 10939 Mayberry Road, Tanner, DUI

• Heather Nicole Middlebrook Walter, 27, of 48 Sage Private Drive, Hartselle, arrest for Decatur

• Cordette Beverly, 49, of 905 Street, Sheffield, arrest for Limestone County

• Amberly Devaney, 21, of Pulaski, Tenn., arrest for Decatur

• William Lester Osborn, 45, of 2109 Danville Road, Ste. A, Decatur, driving while suspended, two counts of failure to appear

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following theft and incidents Monday:

• Plastic container, three game case locks, 20 PlayStation games valued between $49.96 and $59.96 each, 25 Xbox games valued between $49.96 and $59.96 each, one Nano Nascar toy, baby powder and Poise pads, total value $2,691.50, stolen between Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 in the 1000 block of East U.S. 72

• Alabama license plate, valued at $20, stolen between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 in the 14000 block of Cheyenee Street.

• Blue Avon box with clip earrings and necklace, Edward Lynn ladies’ watch, men’s Fossil BQ-9165 watch, Athens High School class ring, ring with small diamond and unknown letter, ring shaped like “P,” solitaire ring with pink stone, 1/4 carot diamond solitaire ring, 10-diamond cluster ring, 24-diamond cluster ring, one-half-inch-wide men’s bracelet, two men’s gold rings, men’s gold nugget and diamond ring, wood jewelry box, total value $2,495, stolen in a burglary between Jan. 1 and Feb. 3 in the 2000 block of Luke Street

• $500 stolen on Feb. 3 in the 2000 block of Jefferson Street

• Criminal mischief damage estimated at $500 to a Dodge Ram on Feb. 3 in the 16000 block of Athens-Limestone Boulevard
