Athens man arrested on burglary charges

— Athens Police on Tuesday arrested a man accused of stealing from storage units.

Marty Leneal Pylant, 45, of 206 Woodridge Drive, Athens, was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary.

He is suspected of breaking into three storage buildings at AAA Mini Storage on Freeman Avenue between November and this month. Stolen items include grills, tools, tables, cookers, furniture and other property.

The burglaries are still under investigation, police said.

After being booked at the Athens Police Department, he was transferred to the Limestone County Jail. His bond was set at $7,500.
