Bust targets prostitution at U.S. 72, Interstate 65

ATHENS — Complaints about prostitutes plying their trade at U.S. 72 and Interstate 65 in Athens prompted an undercover bust late Friday that resulted in the arrest of one woman, an official said.

Lee Ann Pyron, 44, of 1329 U.S. 72, Room 120 in Athens was charged with one count of prostitution, records show.

She was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail, where she was released after posting a $1,000 bail, records show.

A male undercover officer was used to make the bust, which occurred around midnight Friday, the captain said.

Pyron is accused of approaching the undercover officer and offering sexual service for payment.
