The Athens City Council and the Limestone County Commission will hold a joint meeting Monday to discuss an economic development project.
According to the agenda, the joint meeting will be during the commission’s regular meeting at 10 a.m. in the Clinton Street Annex.
The development project will be discussed first and then the two bodies will adopt resolutions approving bid packages valued at $2,430,787 for phase 2 of the Athens-Limestone Public Library building project.
The City Council will then adjourn its portion of the joint meeting and the County Commission will continue its business.
