Police arrested Kevaun Roosevelt Turner, 22, of 106 Shaw St., Athens, Friday night and charged him on a warrant for first-degree robbery, according to Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson.
“On Nov. 29, we received a report of a theft at Bonnie Doone Apartments,” said Johnson. “The victim told officers he was hit in the head with a bottle and $231 in cash, a pair of Oakley sunglasses and a ball cap were taken from him.”
Investigator Jonathan Caldwell investigated the case and obtained a warrant for the arrest of Turner, Johnson said.
“Turner was located and arrested Friday night on Vine Street,” said Johnson. “He was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
