Athens man who allegedly robbed store, stopped for pizza has been arrested

An Athens man has been arrested in connection with Monday’s armed robbery of a Dollar General store on U.S. 72 in Huntsville.

Christopher Wayne Marshall, 36, of 16815 Buckskin Drive, was booked Tuesday into the Limestone County Jail on a charge of first-degree robbery. Bail was set at $20,000.

Marshall is accused of entering the Dollar General carrying a gun about 6:30 p.m. Monday, assaulting an employee and fleeing. His vehicle was found later at a nearby Walmart. Officers searching the area found Marshall at Stevi B’s Pizza Buffet and arrested him on a charge of first-degree robbery.
