Council members have not publicly discussed the pay plan, though they plan to discuss it and, possibly, vote on it during the meeting.

They will hold their regular work session at 4:30 p.m. to discuss these and other agenda items. The regular meeting will follow at 5:30 p.m. Both meetings, which are open to the public, will be held in the municipal courtroom at the Athens Police Department on Hobbs Street.

• Resolutions to approve the purchase of a tractor and a trash truck for the Public Works Department;

• Resolution to approve contracting with a third party for demolition services;

• Resolution to comply with the requirements of the trust indenture between the city of Athens and AmSouth Bank;

• Ordinance authorizing the issuance of the city’s principal amount of electric revenue warrants;

• Resolution to enter into an agreement with Morell Engineering for the U.S. 31 streetscape project;
