Fire razes Clements home

A mobile home on Chris Way burned to the ground in a morning blaze Tuesday.

Capt. Steve Clark of Clements Volunteer Fire Department said his department received the call at approximately 6:15 a.m. and responded with three trucks to the location off Blackburn Road. Tanner VFD also responded with one truck.

It took approximately 30 minutes to get the flames under control, but the mobile home was “a total loss," Clark said.

No injuries were reported, and the lone resident of the trailer was able to escape.

Limestone County Sheriff’s Office sent in deputies to investigate the cause of the fire Tuesday morning. Capt. Stanley McNatt said the department is treating the case as suspicious.
