From staff reports
Two area groups recently traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., to take part in Disney’s Youth Education Series program.
On March 3, students with James Clemens High School visited the resort for the Exploring Disney Animation History program.
Students at Calhoun Community College visited Disney on March 23 to take part in the Techniques of Teamwork through Improvisation program.
Each year, individuals and groups from around the world travel to the Disney resorts to take part in one of several Disney YES programs. Most of the programs take place in and behind the scenes of the theme parks.
Areas of study include career discovery, life management, physical science, natural science, history and art and humanities. The programs use varied resources onstage and backstage to bring real world examples to the learning experience.
