— Members of the local state legislation attended the Legislative Open Forum at Athens State University earlier tonight. Nearly 100 people were in attendance, plus state senators Bill Holtzclaw and Arthur Orr and state representatives Dan Williams and Mac McCutcheon. Audience members asked the delegation about the Bill of Rights, gun control, the Spay-Neuter Clinic Protection Bill, the Flexible School Calendar Act of 2012, a teacher pay raise, school security funding, charter schools, midwives, autism, a county noise ordinance and health care.
