Special vendor day at Athens Saturday Market

The Athens Saturday Market returns this weekend for a special vendor day.

From 3-7 p.m., several vendors will have products for sale at the market on Green Street.

Also, Councilman Chris Seibert will serve free chicken stew until it runs out.

The vendors and their products are: Kathryn Maples, pottery; Lena Wright, framed and unframed typography prints, hand-drawn using pen and pencil; Tom McDaniel, honey; Dana Hickman, handmade aprons and vintage sewing; Lori Baker, re-purposed wood signs and ornaments; Humble Heart Goat Cheese; J.B. Turner, broccoli, collards, turnips, mustard and kale; Riley Waide, homemade sugar cookies; Bev-Ann, gluten-free baked goods; Samovar Gardens, teas; Buddy's Tomatoes, produce; and Larry Brown, turnips, collards, radishes and canned goods.
