Rogersville man charged with burglary

ATHENS — Athens Police say a Rogersville man entered a local home and stole a game console and video game.

Officer Jarod Smith arrested Ralph Eddie Miller, 35, of 2183 County Road 76, Rogersville, Monday night on a warrant for third-degree burglary, according to Police Chief Floyd Johnson.

“On August 21, the police department received a call to North Houston Street,” said Johnson. “The owner of the property reported he was down the street when he saw Miller and another person leave his residence.

“Miller and the other person then got in a car and left. When the owner checked his home he was missing a Microsoft game console and a video game. Investigator Jonathan Caldwell investigated the case and obtained a warrant on Miller.”

Miller was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail. The investigation in this case will continue, and more arrests are possible.
