City seeks input for survey

— The city of Athens would like to remind citizens to provide input on what they would like in terms of retail and industrial growth.

Friday, March 1 is the deadline to fill out the planning survey being conducted by the city. This survey is for those who live or work in Athens.

The questions revolve around what type of local events a person attends, level of satisfaction regarding city services, funding priorities and the type of growth a person wants to see in Athens.

To fill out the survey, visit athensal.us and click the blue banner at the top that says “Planning Survey.” Paper copies also are available at Public Works and City Hall.

Once the information is compiled, City Planner Mac Martin will hold public meetings to share the results and get more input.
