Athens woman arrested on drug charges

— An Athens woman was arrested on drug charges Thursday after police searched her home.

Brandy Leigh Craft, 30, of 407 S. Hine St., was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show.

Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson said officers served a search warrant at the home and seized a small amount of marijuana, a plastic bag with white power believed to be cocaine, several containers containing cocaine residue, a bottle with different types on pills, several surveillance cameras, a surveillance monitor, a set of digital scales, and two pistols and ammunition.

Craft was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail, where she was released after posting bail of $7,000.
