* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...
  LIMESTONE COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA...

* UNTIL 145 PM CDT

* AT 118 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
  CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS IN
  EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR COXEY...OR 14 MILES
  WEST OF ATHENS...AND MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  ATHENS...CARTWRIGHT...RIPLEY...ELKMONT...FRENCH MILL...
  INTERSTATE 65 BETWEEN EXITS 340 AND 365.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY...IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED...ACT QUICKLY
AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY STRUCTURE...SUCH AS A
BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
