APD: Fight with neighbor leads to arrest

— An Athens man was arrested Monday on assault charges that stemmed from a fight with a neighbor over money, police said.

Carlos Royles, 32, of 1400 Acorn Hill Circle, was charged with second-degree assault over the incident that occurred March 3.

An Athens Police Department press release said Royles’ neighbor was treated at Athens-Limestone Hospital for broken ribs and a punctured lung sustained in the altercation.
