Blaze destroys residence in western Limestone

— A Sunday night blaze destroyed a home in western Limestone County, impacting a resident already displaced by Monday’s EF3 twisters.

The fire started at about 9:45 p.m. at a house on Parker Road north of U.S. 72 West in the Poplar Creek community.

WAFF-48 reported Clements and Owens volunteer fire departments reported to the fire, which reignited shortly after midnight this morning.

No injuries were reported since the resident has been staying at a hotel since Monday’s storms.
