Overnight fire destroys Limestone County home

An overnight fire destroyed a more than 100-year-old Limestone County home.

According to reports from news partner WAFF 48, Piney Chapel and Owens volunteer firefighters responded to a call at home on Cross Key Road just before 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

When firefighters arrived to the home —  just west of Piney Chapel — the house was fully involved.

The owner of the house lives next door and said he was remodeling the home, which is vacant, a few hours before the fire, according to the report.

No one was injured.
