Time to 'fall back' Saturday night

Well, it looks like we’ll get some extra time this weekend to recover from the sugar high of eating the leftover Halloween candy.

Saturday night marks the end of daylight saving time. While it doesn’t “officially” start until 2 a.m. Sunday, everyone should set clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.

Since 2007, daylight saving time has started on the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November.

While we’ll be getting that extra hour of sleep Sunday, it also means the days will seem shorter because nighttime comes earlier.

In just four months, we’ll lose that precious hour because daylight saving time returns March 9, 2014, and it will be time to “spring forward.”

For now, enjoy the “fall back” weekend.
