A three-car wreck at the intersection of Pryor and Houston streets Sunday has an Athens homeowner asking the city to make the intersection a four-way stop.
The Bright family was sitting down with guests for a Bible study in their home at one corner of the intersection Sunday when they were interrupted by the sound of tires squealing and a crash.
Taryn Bright, the mother of two young sons who constantly play outside with other neighborhood boys, rushed outside along with her husband Clifton and people from the surrounding houses. The children were not outside, but had seen the whole thing from the window of the front room where they were sitting with their grandfather.
As police cleared the scene, Bright, her husband and father couldn’t help but wonder what could have happened if their boys had been outside.
