Athens city school board to meet tonight
Board communications director Terry Roller announced Wednesday the board will begin hosting open committee meetings during the work sessions that take place before each board meeting, effective tonight.
Commission hears first budget requests
The county approved a $33.2 million operating budget in September 2013 for the current fiscal year. The next fiscal year begins Oct. 1. The county plans to approve the 2015 budget in September.
